Dried Beans Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups of dried beans
Water in a large jar
2 tablespoons cooking oil
salt to taste
A medium sized Tomato and onions
Instructions
- Remove the dirt particles from your beans
- Wash it until clean and put in a pot with some water and a bit of cooking oil
- Start boiling the beans
- let it boil for at least 3-4 hours
- Make some gravy separately using tomato, onion and salt and then pour it into the beans
- Do not stir
- Let the beans simmer with the gravy for about 10-15 minutes
- Ready to serve
- Serve with Nshima or rice
This dried beans recipe is nutritious and delicious. In order to de-gas the dried beans, leave it soaked in water overnight for at least a total of 8 hours. When left soaked in water, it does not take time to cook when boiling.
