Here is a simple recipe on how to cook beef stew. It can be enjoyed with any starch such as nshima, rice, pasta and potatoes.

You will need;
Ingredients
1/2 kg beef
2 potatoes, chopped
1 onion chopped
2 carrots
1 tbsp. cooking oil
2 tbsps. Plain flour
2 tbsps. tomato paste
2 beef stock cubes, crumbled

How to cook Beef stew
Instructions
- Cut your beef into pieces and wash
- Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a saucepan/pot and heat
- Add the beef pieces one by one and sprinkle some salt
- Brown the beef on each side and remove from the saucepan/pot
- Put the chopped onion and seasoning in the pot and stir for about 3 minutes
- Add the tomato paste and mix well
- Add the beef and potatoes with hot water and cook for about 20 minutes
- Add in carrots as well
- Then stir in 2 tablespoons of plain flour, 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and 2 crumbled beef stock cubes.
- Cook until the meat is tender and bring to a gentle simmer
- The beef stew should have a thick gravy by now
- Ready to serve
